Post-Bash Broome Explorations
A number of us stayed longer in Broome, for some R & R after the long haul getting there.
Horizontal Falls tour
One of the things we did was to go on the Horizontal Falls tour. We spent about half a day in a 4WD vehicle, then on a seaplane to Horizontal Falls. The Horizontal Falls are a phenomenon resulting from the tide rushing through narrow gaps in coastal gorges.
Map
This map shows our explorations around Broome, after the Bash, from August 18 to 23, 2011. Click on the map to see an interactive version:

Our progress was mapped using a SPOT Messenger, which attempts to connect to a satellite every 10 minutes, to notify of location. Each of those dots on the map show a successful signal to a satellite.
