Preview from the Bash Bulletin
This is our TRIPLES FUN STOP day. This is a day all the cars with triple numbers put on a fun stop for us. We have a short run from Cloncurry to Duchess for this. It’s also BASH IDOL on this day at the Mount Isa Civic Centre. Always a great (???) night of entertainment and as we are there during the Mount Isa Rodeo week, tonight’s theme will be Cowboy and Cowgirl.

Highlights along the way
The shortest route from Cloncurry to Mount Isa is 120km (about 1.5 hours of driving).
Breakfast
Breakfast will be provided by the Cloncurry State School P & C.
Duchess
We know we’re going to Mount Isa via Duchess, 123km south-west from Cloncurry. Duchess is an old railway and mining town, and it seems that the main thing to see there now is the hotel, so that’s where we’re stopping for the fun stop. You can see Duchess on the map above, towards the bottom of the map.
This will be a Triples Fun Stop, where all of the cars with triple numbers (e.g. 333, 999A, etc.) will each be providing a fun game.
Mount Isa
Mount Isa is the commercial centre of the Gulf Country region of north Queensland. The city is famous for the mines in the surrounding area, particularly for copper.
We’ll be at the Civic Centre for the evening.
